Alison Tucher, former Morrison & Foerster LLP partner and NCIP’s 2010 Pro Bono Award recipient, was recently appointed a judge of the Superior Court of Alameda County. Governor Jerry Brown selected Tucher to fill the vacancy left by retired Judge Joseph Hurley. Tucher won the freedom of Rick Walker, who was wrongfully convicted of murder and spent 12 years in prison before being exonerated in 2003.  While at Morrison & Foerster, Tucher led the firm’s pro bono efforts on behalf of NCIP. Congratulations Alison!
