Bryan Hinkle – Assistant Dean, Law Enrollment Services
Bryan Hinkle grew up in Huntington Beach, California and received a B.A. and Graduate Certificate in Theater Arts from U.C. Santa Cruz, where he participated in the touring Shakespeare Santa Cruz program, Shakespeare to Go. He was active in the campus radio station, KZSC, serving on its Program Board, reporting local news, and hosting several radio shows. He earned his J.D. from Santa Clara Law in 2002 as a part-time law student, where he received a Certificate of Excellence in Legal Research and Writing.
Bryan has held several positions at Santa Clara Law. He began his career as a Law Admissions and Financial Aid Counselor. He later worked in Law Career Services, where he held the positions of Assistant Director for Law Career Development and Acting Assistant Dean of Law Career Services. Shortly after graduating from law school, Bryan joined Access Group, Inc., a nonprofit membership organization comprised of 191 state and nonprofit American Bar Association-accredited U.S. law schools whose mission has centered on the promotion of broad access to higher education. Prior to returning to Santa Clara, Bryan was the Director of the Office of Career Planning at the University of San Francisco School of Law.
Bryan has been a member of NALP, the Association of Legal Career Professionals, and BALRA, the Bay Area Legal Recruitment Association. He has spoken on the topics of law admissions, financial aid, financial literacy and career development at national and regional conferences and events, including multiple panel events for the Bar Association of San Francisco.
Bryan continues to live in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains with his wife, Stephanie, and his daughter, Cate. He enjoys listening to the local NPR station, KQED, and is a diehard MINI Cooper enthusiast.
