As a part of the national celebration of the U.S. Department of State’s International Education Week Santa Clara Law’s Center for Global Law and Policy hosted its first annual Law Study Abroad Fair, celebrating Santa Clara Law’s nationally ranked study abroad and international law programs. At the fair, students mingled with faculty program directors as well as recent alumni to learn 
about our summer study abroad programs as well as our semester-length global exchanges and international externships.
“You learn better by doing, and there’s no better way to learn than by going abroad,” Professor Francisco Rivera, Director of the International Human Rights Clinic says. “If you’re a 1L and you forgot why you came to law school, this is a great way to recharge your batteries and reassure yourself that this is what you want to do. Plus have fun while doing it!”
In addition to the law school’s global programs, the fair highlighted our award-winning International Human Rights Clinic, the Honors Moot Court team recently selected to compete in the prestigious Jean Pictet International Law Competition, our Journal of International Law (JIL), and the International Law Student Association (ILSA), as well as support from the Office of Career Management, and Law Financial Aid.
Santa Clara Law’s Center for Global Law and Policy (CGLP) offers opportunities for students and faculty to examine, experience, and contribute to a scholarly platform for international law at Santa Clara University.
