Find out about how you can be on an IPLaw Honors Moot Court External team! HMCE gives you the chance to show off and enhance the types of practice skills that employers seek, and helps you expand your professional network. However, there are more applicants than there are team positions.

Come find out what it’s like to compete and tips on improving your chances to be selected! Tryouts for 2013-2014 begin in August, and there will be limited opportunities on teams, so competition will be fierce.

IP Law Competitions: Thursday April 25, 12-1 pm in Bannan 332

Copyright, Patent, Trademark (all three are prestigious appellate moots), plus IP LawMeets (Transactional dealmaking involving IP)

These competitions are sponsored by the High Tech Law Institute.

The session is intended to help interested students get a head start on preparing for tryouts over the summer. The information will help you be ready when HMCE tryout season starts in the fall.

You’ll hear from experienced competitors who competed this year or the year before. They will give helpful tips and suggestions for the particular competitions you’re interested in. So come hear what gives the edge when applying for a team position.

Each team offers an excellent opportunity to develop professional practice skills going far beyond the researching, writing and speaking that is required. Employers look for and value moot court experience, so don’t miss this chance.

Food will be served!
