On Wednesday, April 6th, the Law School, alongside the entire university will be celebrating our annual Day of Giving. This occasion presents an opportunity for alumni and friends to give back to those parts of the Santa Clara University community with which they have the deepest connections, as well as to those programs that they believe are making the greatest impact in the world.

“For the Law School, the Day of Giving offers an opportunity to showcase the incredible work of our faculty and staff in our classrooms, centers, clinics, and communities. It also allows us to highlight powerful student stories, so many of which include expressions of gratitude such as: ‘But for this scholarship, I would not have been able to attend Santa Clara Law’ “, notes Dean Michael Kaufman.

Whether you wish to support a specific scholarship, like our Justice Edward A. Panelli Endowed Law Scholarship that has a $15,000 Matching Challenge associated with it, general scholarships through the Amicus Fund, our newly created Law Student Wellness Initiatives Fund, or any of our centers or clinics, you may do so through this link. Every contribution has an impact and every gift counts! This year, we are fortunate to have two mystery donors present us with the ultimate Challenge Gift: When the greater law school community, including alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and others make 150+ gifts to any designation(s) within the Law School on the Day of Giving, these donors will establish a new endowed scholarship  that will benefit Santa Clara’s law students for generations to come. A special presentation has been scheduled for 2:30pm on April 6th on the Panetta Plaza of Charney Hall in order to announce the status of the challenge, and if completed, to reveal the identity of the mystery donors!

Please be a part of this incredibly special Day of Giving for Santa Clara Law and encourage your friends, classmates, and colleagues to do the same. We hope to see you all on Panetta Plaza on April 6th at 2:30pm for the big announcement!
