Tim Zunich graduated in 2014 from the University of Dayton before attending Santa Clara University School of Law where he earned his J.D. in 2019. During his time at Santa Clara Law, Tim delved into the intricacies of running business entities and the legal challenges that entrepreneurs will ultimately face. During his second year, Tim joined the Entrepreneurs’ Law Clinic and stood alongside pro bono Silicon Valley business attorneys and professionals as they advised and addressed any hardships the startup companies encountered. In addition to the Entrepreneurs’ Law Clinic, Tim participated in Honors Moot Court and mediation competitions, as well as in-house legal internships between summers.
Post-graduation, Tim joined the Global Commercial Contracts Center at Analog Devices (ADI), a semiconductor leader with revenue of more than $12 billion in FY22 and approximately 125,000 global customers. In his role, Tim focuses on delivering strategic counsel and negotiations for commercial transactions from inception through execution. He covers a wide variety of agreements ranging from construction contracts, capital equipment purchases, SaaS, professional services, and commodities purchases. Tim additionally supports the legal aspects of ADI’s extensive real estate portfolio, including duties such as negotiation of leases, property sale, and acquisition, as well as outside counsel management.
This past spring, Tim received the Spot Award for negotiating and executing a new office lease while supporting ADI’s local team in Taiwan. The region has a complex real estate market, even without a global pandemic, and the team was also challenged with a tight timeline. Tim was honored to be recognized for his diligence, professional counsel, and substantial contributions to an important project. Mentioning, “No two projects are the same, but I approach each project with precision, practicality, and the creativity of a problem solver.”
Tim notes that his time at Santa Clara Law was a vital part of his life and career journey. Emphasizing the impact of the relationships he was able to build with his fellow classmates, now longtime friends, as well as his professors and mentors. Tim gave a special shoutout to Dean Polden, Professor Oberman, and Dean Norris for pushing him to dive deeper into his studies by cultivating an environment where he was able to learn and build from the personal strengths that he had developed before beginning his legal career.
