Santa Clara Law’s outstanding team showcased their talent and dedication at the 2025 USPTO Patent Drafting Competition earlier this month. Under the guidance of their coach, Santa Clara Law alum and Fenwick Associate Attorney Matthew Lem J.D. ’23, team members Emily Keliher J.D. ’26, Caley Benson J.D. ’27, Priscilla Pau J.D. ’25, and Chris Lovejoy J.D. ’27 put their skills to the test in this prestigious event.
After months of rigorous preparation, the team delivered an exceptional performance at the Regional Competition on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Countless hours of practice and study sharpened their expertise, allowing them to refine their drafting techniques and deepen their legal knowledge.
Each team member brought unique strengths, demonstrating technical excellence, adaptability, and resilience throughout the competition. Their teamwork and determination were evident as they tackled complex challenges together.
Although their run in the competition ended at the regional stage, their success extends far beyond this achievement. Their dedication and camaraderie reflect the very best of the Santa Clara Law community.
A round of applause for Santa Clara Law’s team: Emily, Caley, Priscilla, and Chris and a heartfelt thank you to Matthew Lem for his exceptional leadership and support. Their commitment and spirit are truly inspiring!
