The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office Crime Laboratory was awarded “International” status by the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB). The ASCLD/LAB is one of only two laboratory accrediting bodies in the United States and the only one recognized by the FBI.
During a two-year upgrade, director Ian Fitch and his staff overhauled the lab’s quality guidelines. “The Santa Clara County Crime Lab reflects the excellence and innovation that makes Silicon Valley the home of the most advanced, influential hi-tech companies in the world,” said District Attorney Jeff Rosen.
