Former Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins will be honored at NCIP’s eighth annual Justice for All awards dinner on March 12, 2015 for his commitment to the integrity of the criminal justice system. In 2007, Watkins founded the internationally recognized Dallas County District Attorney’s Conviction Integrity Unit. Under his leadership, the Unit reviewed more than 400 cases and exonerated 34 innocent people wrongfully convicted of crimes. His Conviction Integrity Unit has become the model of integrity in prosecution throughout the United States.
