SANTA CLARA, Calif., January 17, 2023— Santa Clara Law’s pioneering privacy law certificate program has been named one of 10 most innovative law programs in the country by Bloomberg Law. The Privacy Law Certificate is a rigorous program designed for students who want to specialize in privacy law. It requires students to complete specific coursework; work in a privacy job; publish a paper on privacy, and obtain an external certification in privacy. The certificate program was selected out of nearly 90 applicants from over 60 schools and was evaluated by a panel of internal and external experts, including Bloomberg Law analysts and industry authorities. The news was announced as part of Bloomberg Law’s inaugural Law School Innovation Program, which recognizes schools that implement and lead innovative programs into their curriculum and advance new methodologies and approaches to student instruction, legal technology implementation and usage, experiential learning, and other facets of legal education.
