In every aspect of this presidential campaign, race has been a factor. How well have the news media addressed race? What messages do journalists convey, intentionally or not? What are their obligations?

Three distinguished writers take on these questions in the second event of the Multicultural Journalism Speaker Series, sponsored by the Communication Department with support from the Office for Multicultural Learning – Office of the Provost, and the Undergraduate Admission Office.

and Rolando Nichols, anchor for Univision will discuss news coverage of racial issues in the presidential campaign.
