Shelley Canter is President of RJC Associates, a consulting firm that works with law firms and corporations. Ms. Canter was among the first to provide coaching and career transition assistance to lawyers in 20+ firms in the San Francisco Bay Area alone and she works with lawyers and executives around the country. She serves on the Executive Committee of the ABA’s Women Rainmakers, is active in the leadership of the ABA’s Law Practice Management Section, and is adjunct faculty and lead coach for the Women’s Senior Leadership Program at the Kellogg School of Management. She is the author of over 20 articles for legal publications as well as a career guide for attorneys and executives, MAKE THE RIGHT CAREER MOVE, recently published by Wiley. Ms. Canter earned her Ph.D. in Social-Personality Psychology with a specialty in achievement and productivity from the University of Colorado, and she is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Stanford University with a B.A. in Psychology.
