Zhenhai “Jay” Fu ’14 has joined the Silicon Valley office of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton. Dr. Fu joins the firm as an associate on the Software and Electrical Engineering Team in the firm’s internationally recognized Intellectual Property Department.
Dr. Fu focuses his practice on patent preparation, prosecution, and related counseling in a variety of technologies including software, solar energy, semiconductor, medical devices, telecommunication, optical communication and surgical instruments, optoelectronics, and wearable devices. Prior to joining private practice, Dr. Fu was a member of the Technical Staff for Texas Instruments and a Staff Engineer for LSI Logic.
Dr. Fu earned a J.D., from Santa Clara University School of Law where he served as Technical Editor for the Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal. He received his Ph.D. and Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Dr. Fu received his Masters of Science in Optical Instruments from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China and his Bachelor of Science in Optical Instruments from Zheijang University in Hangzhou, China.
