On April 14, 2015, Santa Clara University’s College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Leadership Forum hosted a community roundtable in conjunction with the campus visits of actor Martin Sheen and Sister Helen Prejean. The focus of the roundtable was sharing ideas about how to broaden and deepen social justice activism in our various communities.

Participants were event guest hosts Sister Maryann Cantlon, C.S.J., of the Restorative Justice Social Ministry, Diocese of San Jose; Professor Ellen Kreitzberg of Santa Clara Law; Professor Gary Macy of the SCU Department of Religious Studies and SCU Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries; Fumi Tosu of the Casa de Clara San Jose Catholic Worker; Ricardo Ramirez (educator in San Jose); Michael Whalen (Department of Communications); Margaret Russell (Law Professor, Santa Clara Law); Cookie Ridolfi (Law Professor, Santa Clara Law); Christopher Boscia (Santa Clara DA and Santa Clara Law Alumnus ’08).
