Roger Clay (InsightCenter for Community Economic Development) is the Spring 2008 Social Justice Visiting Practitioner. He will speak on "Social Justice Lawyering: Housing Law and Community Economic Development" at the Social Justice Monday event on Monday, March 17, 2008 from Noon to 1 p.m. in Bannan 139 where pizza will be provided. Roger Clay is the President of the InsightCenter for Community Economic Development. The Insight Center is a national research, consulting and legal organization dedicated to developing innovative strategies and programs that result in systemic change and help people become—and remain—economically secure. The InsightCenter works in collaboration with foundations, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, government, and business to develop, support, and promote programs that lead to good jobs, strengthen early care and education systems, and enable people and communities to build financial assets.
Mr. Clay is an attorney and licensed social worker. He received his undergraduate degree in sociology from StanfordUniversity, master’s degree in social work from UCLA, and his law degree from U.C. Berkeley (Boalt Hall).
