Santa Clara Law alumna Jaya Reddy (J.D. ’19) has become president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley (APABA Silicon Valley).

Ms. Reddy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Political Theory from the University of California, Los Angeles, laying a strong foundation for her career as an advocate for equity and representation. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara Law, where she distinguished herself as an Emery Merit Scholar, President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA), Associate on the Board of the High Tech Law Journal and Journal of International Law, and an External Moot Court competitor. She graduated in the top 25% of her class.

Ms. Reddy was introduced to APABA Silicon Valley during her first year at Santa Clara Law when she attended the organization’s annual Women Trailblazers Panel, an event celebrating the achievements of Asian Pacific American women in Silicon Valley’s legal industry.

A passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Ms. Reddy champions increased representation in the law of Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC), individuals with disabilities, and the LGBTQI+ community. “Representation matters. It shows people that each voice—each individual—is an equal member of society and deserves respect as such.”

As President of APABA Silicon Valley, Ms. Reddy is committed to advancing the organization’s mission to foster professional development, advocacy, and community involvement for Silicon Valley’s Asian Pacific American legal community while promoting justice and equality for all.
