The High Tech Law Institute student nominee Xu Li has been awarded the 2024-2025 AIPLA Past President’s Award, marking yet another triumph for Santa Clara Law in the field of intellectual property law. The American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) invites institutions to nominate law students who have excelled in the study of IP law for prestigious awards like the Jan Jancin Award and the AIPLA Past President’s Award.

These merit-based awards recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, a commitment to diversity, and a clear passion for pursuing a career in intellectual property law. They celebrate individuals who have also shown outstanding leadership, innovation, and service in the field, making a significant impact on both the legal community and the broader tech industry. Xu Li’s recognition underscores Santa Clara Law’s ongoing commitment to nurturing top-tier talent in the rapidly evolving world of IP law.

Xu Li’s recognition continues Santa Clara University’s remarkable legacy of success, following in the footsteps of previous winners like Ernest Fok (2021-2022) and Monica De Lazzari (2018-2019). Santa Clara University students have also been honored with the Jan Jancin Award, including Azadeh Morrison (2016-2017), Sarah Mizra (2015-2016), and Linda Wuestehube Kahl (2010-2011). These accolades highlight both the individual excellence of Santa Clara Law’s High Tech Law students and the university’s leadership in fostering top-tier talent in the rapidly evolving world of IP law.
