Santa Clara University School of Law graduate Erica Riel-Carden recently authored an article for Inside Counsel, “Hello from the other side: 3 lessons I learned from in-house counsel training“, where she discusses her experience with the newly-formed In-House Counsel Institute.

Last month, I attended the first session of the In-House Counsel Institute, a pilot program at Santa Clara University Law School. The four day course was an opportunity for attorneys to receive intensive training from Silicon Valley general counsel on serving the needs of high tech companies. The target audience was attorneys transitioning from law firms or public agencies to in-house positions, or those seeking to better understand and serve their corporate clients.
