SANTA CLARA, Calif., October 24, 2024— It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the appointment of Caitlin Robinett Jachimowicz as the Senior Assistant Dean for Enrollment, Strategy, and Operations at Santa Clara University School of Law. 

Following an extensive national search, Caitlin was selected by a distinguished search committee chaired by Mike Flynn, Associate Dean for Global Engagement and Clinical Professor of Law. The committee also included Andrew Corrales, Academic Communication & Technology Support Manager; Bradley Joondeph, Professor of Law; Patricia Lopez, Director of Law Financial Aid; and Phuong Tran, Finance Operations Manager. We extend our gratitude to the committee for its commitment to inclusivity and its success in attracting exceptional candidates for this vital position.

Caitlin brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in leadership, making her an invaluable asset to our law school community. Her extensive background as an executive leader, highly-respected attorney, revered educator, effective policy-maker, and community servant positions her uniquely to excel in this vital role.

A proud graduate of Santa Clara Law (J.D. ’10), Caitlin holds a Certificate in Public Interest and Social Justice Law. She has served as a law clerk for the Panetta Institute of Public Policy and worked as a Congressional Aide for Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren before dedicating over ten years to practicing criminal defense and civil litigation. During her time at Santa Clara Law, Caitlin demonstrated her leadership skills as President of the Student Bar Association and Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate. She completed her undergraduate studies at Seattle University, graduating magna cum laude with a B.A. in Philosophy and Communication.

Caitlin is recognized for her commitment to inclusion and excellence across various domains, including business management, financial stewardship, project management, and legal education. Her passion for program development, student mentorship, curriculum development, and enrollment strategy reflects her dedication to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for all students.

As our new Senior Assistant Dean for Law Enrollment, Strategy, and Operations, Caitlin will continue to build on the terrific progress that she and her strong team–including Krissy Spence, our new Senior Director of Law Finance, Phuong Tran, Finance Operations Manager, Nanette Cannon, Director of Law Admissions, Yolanda Garcia, Data Processor, Patricia Lopez, Director of Law Financial Aid, Ryan Bindi, Financial Aid and Admissions Counselor, and Richard Landowski, our new Assistant Director of Enrollment and Operations—have accomplished in meeting our ambitious strategic goals in the increasingly interconnected areas of enrollment, finance, and operations.

Caitlin and her husband, Josh (J.D. ’11), are proud parents of two children, Penelope (9) and Griffin (6). They reside in Caitlin’s hometown of Morgan Hill, where she has also contributed to her community as a City Council Member and Elected Treasurer.

We are excited to welcome Caitlin to her new leadership role and look forward to the innovative contributions she will bring to Santa Clara Law.
