California Consumer Privacy Act

Just as organizations were wrapping up their EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance efforts, another shift in data privacy was enacted. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) was signed by Governor Brown on June 28, 2018, and is arguably the strongest US consumer data privacy law to date. This event will explore the similarities and differences between these two regulations with a focus on how organizations can leverage their GDPR compliance efforts to ensure compliance with CCPA.
