Thiadora Pina focuses on student professional identity and competency development. She teaches and regularly develops competency modules which she delivers to extern and first year students. Thiadora is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and evaluating relationships with sponsoring externship organizations and supervisors.
She teaches the required first-year Critical Lawyering Skills class and the Externship Workshop, engaging students with competency development and reflective lawyering by creating online video modules and active scenario development. She also provides individual counseling to students regarding professional identity formation and law practice.
Thiadora is an accomplished attorney, having practiced civil litigation for over eleven years. She concentrated her practice in insurance, healthcare, and personal bankruptcy. She regularly appeared in state and federal courts throughout the Boston, Massachusetts area.
She has extensive courtroom experience and has successfully litigated hundreds of legal claims, from negotiated settlements, arbitration hearings, to trials. She managed her own law practice for six years. Her practice experience also included appellate work.
Thiadora is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and enjoys cooking, travel, sports, and astronomy.
