Thiadora Pina

Clinical Professor, Senior Director of Inclusive Excellence

Professor Pina is an accomplished author and civil litigation attorney. She brings her strong communication, customer service, and project management skills to Santa Clara Law as a Clinical Professor and Senior Director of Inclusive Excellence.

Thiadora directs and manages the Law School’s nationally recognized first-year professional identity curriculum and its Critical Lawyering Skills seminar. The Seminar received the ABA’s E. Smythe Gambrell Professionalism Award, and Thiadora received commendation as lead author of the book used in the course: Essential Lawyering Skills: A Companion Guide to Neil W. Hamilton’s ROADMAP (ABA Publishing).
Thiadora is also the Law School’s first senior officer of Inclusive Excellence, where she brings this same innovative approach to belonging and inclusion work. She works with all Santa Clara Law stakeholders in its relentless pursuit of excellence.

Thiadora teaches Torts and Advanced Torts. She is the faculty advisor for Santa Clara Law’s Black Law Student Association and the founding advisor of Santa Clara Law’s First-Generation Law Student Association. She teaches an Introduction to Law course for Santa Clara University’s LEAD Scholars Program, and also has a strong foundation in residence life as the University’s Faculty Director of the da Vinci RLC.

Thiadora practiced civil litigation for over eleven years. She concentrated her practice in insurance, healthcare, and consumer protection. She regularly appeared in state and federal courts throughout the Boston, Massachusetts area.
Thiadora is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and enjoys cooking, travel, sports, and astronomy.
