Carol Hunter is currently General Counsel of Javad GNSS, Inc. where she is responsible broadly for the compliance and legal matters of those corporations comprising the business entities of Javad GNSS, Inc. For a time period Carol was also holding the role of Chief Operating Officer, where she was responsible for optimizing the company’s workflow strategy, organizing the essential business processes, reviewing and improving efficiency of business functions, planning and ensuring day-to-day operations are on track, while collaborating with other executive staff to set and meet business goals.

Carol is an active Board Member of Leadership California as of 2017 and Treasurer (2017-2019, 2022). Carol was the 2020 and 2021 President of Leadership California (a non-profit foundation) which is a network of accomplished women, dedicated to advancing the leadership role women play in impacting business, social issues, and public policy. Leadership California provides experiences and knowledge through its California Issues & Trends Program (CIT) to advance women from success to significance.

Until 2020, Carol was the Vice President of Global Consumer Legal and Brand Protection at Norton LifeLock Inc (formerly Symantec Corporation), where she oversaw the Consumer Business Unit legal matters and the company’s brand protection matters. Carol managed a legal team of 30+ US based, 7+ regional legal experts (paralegals and attorneys) and 5+ Brand Protection experts that delivered on global business needs for security and identity protection services and offerings for Norton, LifeLock and its subsidiaries IDA/SageStream, which included worldwide legal coverage for all consumer channel sales deals, the consumer support services, restoration and member services group, the consumer product development and engineering group, and the consumer ecommerce and direct acquisition marketing group, as well as all consumer related compliance matters.

Previously, Carol was General Counsel at Magellan Corporation; a corporate attorney at Fenwick & West, primarily handling startup entity corporate matters and financings, mergers & acquisitions, and legal positioning preparation for public offerings; and an attorney with McCutchen, Doyle, Brown and Enersen law firm, primarily handling corporate matters for the medical related industry.

Carol graduated as a top 7 law student from Santa Clara Law in 1991. She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato Campus.
