Alyssa is in-house counsel at Carta, Inc. Her prior work experiences include Affirm, Inc., IP Justice, Amazon Lab126, eBay, and Mayer Brown. Her areas of interest include intellectual property, Internet law, privacy, advertising and marketing law, commercial law, and speech law. Alyssa is a recent graduate of Santa Clara Law where she received the High Tech Law Certificate with Honors for Intellectual Property.
She also received the Dean’s Leadership Award and was the High Tech Law Institute’s nominee for AIPLA’s National Jan Jancin Award. During her time at Santa Clara Law, she was the Co-President of the Internet Law Student Organization, the Privacy Law Student Organization, and EQSCU, now SCU Outlaw.
She received her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine in Political Science.
To complement her passions for technology law and criminal justice, Alyssa has also worked with Colleen Chien at Santa Clara Law and UC Berkeley Law on the Paper Prisons Initiative, a project that advocates for expanding expungement laws and automating expungement processes across the states. Alyssa also serves on the Board of Directors for BALIF, the Bay Area’s LGBTQIA+ Bar Association.
In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, playing bass and drums, wine tasting, and dogs.
