Dear Members of the Santa Clara Law Community,
As the academic year draws to a close, it’s a great time to soak up the energy that permeates campus and reflect on the tremendous successes that we achieved throughout the year.
I am incredibly proud of the hard work and hard-earned accomplishments of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni throughout the year. Our collective community efforts culminated in a hugely successful annual Day of Giving in which the School of Law raised $332,038 to support student scholarships and ensure that our extraordinary Santa Clara legal education is more affordable and accessible to students from all walks of life. I am so grateful to all of our students, faculty, staff-educators, and alumni for their overwhelming generosity and commitment to our beloved Law School community.
On May 20th, I look forward to gathering together as a community to celebrate the remarkable professional achievements of the graduating class of 2023 at the Law School’s 112th graduation ceremony at the Leavey Center. We are grateful to be welcoming Santa Clara Law alumnae Tricia Montalvo Timm, to the Mission Campus to receive an honorary degree and deliver this year’s Commencement Address. We are so honored that Tricia Timm, our distinguished alum, who is a general counsel, board director, venture investor, acclaimed author, first-generation C-suite Latina, mentor, advisor, and advocate for women and girls, has accepted our invitation. Let us warmly welcome Tricia back to her alma mater and congratulate her for her extraordinary achievements and dedicated public service.
In this final stretch of the spring semester, let us extend to all of our students best wishes and success on their final exams. Let us also thank our faculty and staff-educators for their unbridled dedication to the success and well-being of each one of our students.
With warm regards and tremendous gratitude,
