Greetings Graduates,
We’re here, the final stretch. Finals are done, and the countdown to commencement is officially on for you and your loved ones! I just want to say how incredibly proud I am of each and every one of you. It has been a true privilege to witness your journey. Your growth, your grit, and your heart. You’ve earned this moment, and we’re excited to celebrate alongside you and your loved ones.
Commencement is more than just a ceremony, it’s a meaningful and honored tradition, made possible by your effort and the sacrifices of those who’ve supported you. Because of that, we’re committed to ensuring that it remains a dignified, joyful experience for everyone involved.
To that end, we’ll uphold all
Community Standards throughout the week. Campus Safety and the
Santa Clara Police
Department will be on-site to support the event and respond swiftly to any disruptions
that would impact safety for our community and guests.
Please keep the following in mind:
Alcohol, drugs, vapes, and tobacco are strictly prohibited at all graduation events. Students found with or using these items will be immediately removed from the commencement celebrations. Any behavior that disrupts the event or delays the program will result in removal.
Showing up to commencement under the influence or in a condition that makes it unsafe for you to participate (for example, being unable to walk across the stage safely) will mean you won’t be allowed to walk.
Students who violate these expectations may also be subject to university sanctions, including formal conduct action and potential restrictions from campus during bar prep.
This is your week. Own it with pride, gratitude, and the professionalism that got you here. We’re proud of you and can't wait to celebrate with you!
