Hai-Ching is the Director of Legal at Cerebras Systems, an AI company focused on building the fastest AI supercomputers to tackle society’s most challenging problems. Previously, she served as the Managing Counsel of Americas and Governments at Coursera, where she managed the enterprise legal function for governments, enterprises, and industry partnerships, and scaled the legal function from the early startup stage to post-IPO. She also built Coursera’s data privacy and anti-bribery compliance programs and assisted in the company’s international expansion into the Middle East and Asia.
Before joining Coursera, Hai-Ching worked in Beijing as a cross-border attorney for the global law firm K&L Gates, advising Fortune 500 companies, private equity funds, foundations, and nonprofits on corporate transactions, foreign investment, M&A, regulatory, and compliance issues. A Fulbright Scholar at Tsinghua University and a former law lecturer at Peking University School of Transnational Law, Hai-Ching is also passionate about teaching law and mentoring the next generation of lawyers.
