Steven Skikos, a founding partner of Skikos, Crawford, Skikos LLP, has been a trial attorney since 1990.
Steve has focused on complex pharmaceutical drug and medical device litigation. Steve has tried multiple pharmaceutical and medical device cases as well as numerous employment law cases in state and federal court on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants and tried personal injury cases. He has been court-appointed lead and/or liaison counsel for California Judicial Counsel Coordinated Proceedings (JCCP) and/or for the federal Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) in more than a dozen cases. Steve has been a lead negotiator responsible for settling more than $25 billion in cases for tens of thousands of plaintiffs and has served as strategic leader in several more national litigations.
Currently, Steve serves as Lead Counsel for all federally recognized Native American Tribes and Chair of the court-appointed MDL Tribal Leadership Committee in litigation responding to the national opioid crisis. He also served as one of the lead litigators and negotiators of the global Teva/Allergan settlement and is responsible for the litigation and negotiation of another ten opioid manufacturer cases. Steve served as Plaintiff’s Co-Liaison Counsel and member of the Plaintiff’s Executive Committee in the litigation seeking to hold PG&E liable for personal injury and property damages caused by the fires that consumed Napa, Sonoma, and other counties in Northern California in October 2017. He is a member of the PG&E Bankruptcy Tort Claimant’s Committee and the Fire Victim Trust Oversight Committee, which has resulted in over $14 billion in gross recovery for Fire Victim Claimants. He is also currently working on emerging litigation as a result of the fire in Maui, Hawaii in 2023.
