Schuettenhelm earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California Santa Cruz. He went on to work in the medical device industry for 8 years between Amira Medical and LifeScan, a Johnson and Johnson Company. In 2005, Schuettenhelm joined Santa Clara Law. During his time in law school, he served as managing editor of the Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal and became a member of the Order of the Coif. Schuettenhelm joined Bracewell LLP in 2013 in patent litigation. His recent notable cases include working with Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc., HTC Corporation, and Nordstrom. He also contributed to a Forbes article entitled, “Is it Safe to Store Your Trade Secrets in The Cloud.” Schuettenhelm has been recognized by Best Lawyers and Managing Intellectual Property.
