Andrew Gurthet first joined the staff of Santa Clara University Law Library in 2000 as a Reference Librarian.  From 2002 to 2006, he served as the Assistant Dean of Law Technology and Academic Computing for the Law School.  Prior to working for Santa Clara University Law Library and Law School, he served as a reference librarian for Stanford University Law Library.  He returned to the Santa Clara University Law Library again in 2022 and currently works as the Head of Research Services.  Between 2006 and 2022, he worked as a law librarian for Apple, Inc., University of California Hastings College of the Law, San Mateo County Law Library, and as the manager of the Bainbridge Island Public Library in the Seattle, Washington Area.  He currently teaches Advanced Legal Research and co-teaches the Legal Technology and Innovation course.
