In August, Santa Clara University School of Law warmly welcomed an outstanding and diverse new class that includes 189 full-time and 16 part-time students.
“Our remarkable new students come from all walks of life, but they all share the qualities of academic excellence, professionalism, and passion for service,” said Santa Clara Law Dean Michael Kaufman. “This class further advances Santa Clara Law’s proven commitment to diversity, with more than 57 percent of the class identifying as a member of a minority group, making our Law School one of the most diverse in the United States. We are thrilled and proud to welcome them to Santa Clara Law, and we are grateful that they have chosen to earn their law degrees in our caring, diverse, and student-focused law school community in the heart of Silicon Valley.”
“We continue our upward trajectory in the median LSAT score for this year’s entering class, building on successive improvements over the past five admission cycles,” said Bryan Hinkle, assistant dean for law enrollment management. “We also continue to award generous scholarships to attract students with strong academic credentials from a wide range of backgrounds, including those from traditionally underrepresented groups.”

A significant number of this year’s admitted students have been accepted into the highly competitive Tech Edge J.D. program.
