B J Fadem

B J Fadem is the senior and founding attorney of The Law Offices of B J Fadem & Associates, APC located in San Jose, California.  The firm was established in 1991.  He is licensed in all the Courts of the State of California as well as federal courts throughout the United States.

Mr. Fadem has been practicing law since 1985 and has practiced in numerous areas of the law including, but not limited to Family Law [certified as a specialist by the State Bar of California], International Hague Treaty, Personal Injury, Estates, Probate, Criminal Defense, Business Litigation, Property, and General Civil Litigation.  He is a certified temporary judge for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County, as well as a private mediator and judge for over 20 years.  In addition, he has been certified by U.C. Hastings as an International Mediator.

Mr. Fadem has taught numerous MCLE courses to attorneys in various areas of law; including, but not limited to The Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, The Hague Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters, UCCJEA, Domestic Partnerships, Custody, Community Property, Transmutation, Paternity, basic Family Law, Evidence, California Civil Procedure, Trial Procedures and Property Law in California, Ethics and Bias. He has also taught several Bar Review courses for CEB.  In addition, he has been a guest speaker at Santa Law School and Lincoln Law School.

Mr. Fadem’s previous careers include San Jose Police officer, Insurance investigator, and Certified Physician Assistant.
