Phil Gregory JD/MBA ’80 is co-lead counsel in Juliana v. United States, which is a climate change lawsuit filed by young people that is coming before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco on December 11. The lawsuit was brought against the Obama administration, and the Trump administration has filed a writ of mandamus to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. A writ of mandamus is an order from a court to an inferior government official ordering the government official to properly fulfill their official duties or correct an abuse of discretion.
