SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 10, 2013 — “Balancing Privacy and Opportunity in the Internet Age” will be the topic of a series of panels before members of three state legislative committees this Thursday at Santa Clara University School of Law.

The event — an informational meeting of California State Assembly Judiciary Committee; the Business, Professions and Consumer Protection Committee; and the Select Committee on Privacy — will take place on December 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mayer Theatre at Santa Clara University, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95053.

Topics on the agenda include: Why privacy matters; The collection, aggregation and sale of personal information online; California’s ‘Shine the Light ‘ law; and consumer privacy policies. A full agenda may be viewed at bit.ly/1gmUSju.
