Professional Responsibility

Course Description:

This course introduces students to the ethical challenges and competing demands and duties that lawyers must grapple with in their professional and personal lives. It will cover the most important rules that regulate the practice of law and the policies behind them. Students will learn how the rules apply to specific situations that lawyers commonly face in their practice. The course will also provide students an informed and critical overview of the structure and institutional regulation of the legal profession. This course overlaps with material tested on the California Bar Examination and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination.
