Course Description:

This course will introduce you to the issues encountered when starting up a biotech company and afterwards.  The course examines a variety of legal topics related to the biotechnology industry, such as the initial financing, the regulatory environment, intellectual property, licensing, antitrust and practical uses of biotechnology. Approved IP LL.M. course. 

Class Notes:

Business Organizations (248) strongly recommended. Some type of biology background also recommended.  This course will introduce the issues encountered when starting up a biotech company and afterwards.  The course examines a variety of legal topics related to the biotechnology industry, such as the initial financing, the regulatory environment, intellectual property, licensing, antitrust and practical uses of biotechnology.  This class fulfills the LL.M. writing requirement.
