Elliot Peters, partner at Keker & Van Nest LLP, will be honored at NCIP’s eighth annual Justice for All awards dinner on March 12, 2015 for his tenacious commitment to freeing the wrongfully convicted. Peters and his team at Keker & Van Nest LLP spent countless hours working to exonerate NCIP client, Ronald Ross, who was wrongfully convicted of an attempted murder charge and sentenced to life in prison in 2006. After serving nearly 7 years behind bars, Ronald Ross was exonerated in February 2013. Keker & Van Nest LLP also represented Ronald Ross at his compensation hearing before the California State Compensation Board.
