Zsea Bowmani JD ’14 received a Hackworth Grant from the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics

Zsea Bowmani JD 14, Graduate Fellow for Global Law and Policy, Center for Global Law and Policy, received a Hackworth Award from the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics. The award is for “Cold War, Hot Planet: The Ethical Dilemma of Continued Cold War-era Resentment towards Cuba in the Face of a Global Climate Crisis.” This project will examine the ethical issues surrounding the U.S. decision to continue the decades-long Cuban embargo, and the impact that America’s policy has had on Cuba’s attempts at fighting climate change. Grant funds will cover travel expenses related to conducting research in Cuba. Read more about the Hackworth Grants.
