Zsea Bowmani JD 14, Graduate Fellow for Global Law and Policy, Center for Global Law and Policy, received a Hackworth Award from the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics. The award is for “Cold War, Hot Planet: The Ethical Dilemma of Continued Cold War-era Resentment towards Cuba in the Face of a Global Climate Crisis.” This project will examine the ethical issues surrounding the U.S. decision to continue the decades-long Cuban embargo, and the impact that America’s policy has had on Cuba’s attempts at fighting climate change.
