Congratulations to Sonya Chalaka JD ’22 and Cassandra Wilkins JD ’22, who competed in the Burton D. Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Competition, making it to the Quarterfinals. The team was managed by Honors Moot Court External Director Michael Wang JD ’22.

The competition topic this year was whether or not school districts and administrators can limit student speech during graduation, specifically speech related to religion. The team is especially grateful to Professors Deep Gulasekaram and Brad Joondeph for their help preparing them on intertwining free speech, free exercise, and Establishment Clause issues.
