Office of Career Management Recruiting Event

On November 15th, the Office of Career Management hosted its first Legal Recruiters’ Luncheon. Eighteen recruiters representing 12 different law firms met on the Dean’s Terrace at Charney Hall for lunch, networking, and an opportunity to discuss law student recruiting trends and challenges. This was the first in-person event since before the pandemic.

Ashley Garnder, Attorney Recruiting & Development Manager at O’Melveny & Myers shared: “I had the pleasure of attending the Legal Recruiters’ Luncheon today where I connected in person with the staff of the Office of Career Management (OCM) and legal recruiting colleagues, old and new. We discussed topics including the current legal market, the most recent summer associate program, and the upcoming 1L hiring season. The conversations and discussions are just the start, and I look forward to continued engagement. Many thanks to OCM for bringing us all together so we can collaborate and continue to serve law students and our law firms.”
