Michelle Oberman has been selected as an Emerging Ethics Fellow by the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University. Her term will be for the 2020 – 2021 school year.

Each year the Markkula Center invites one faculty member for the role as an Emerging Ethics Fellow, which entails writing essays on current news topics and the ethical implications around those topics. Professor Oberman was nominated and selected because of her expertise on a number of topics and her ability to eloquently express her point of view and because of her national prominence on ethical issues surrounding adolescence, pregnancy and motherhood.
