Edmonds Chapter

We are the Santa Clara University School of Law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. Our organization provides international networking opportunities, strong ties to local alumni, and a close knit community of fellow law students in the Bay Area.

Who We Are

The Edmonds Chapter is made up of Santa Clara law students who are seeking to connect on a personal, local, and global level with others in their shared field of interest. Each semester we offer events and programming that establish lasting bonds between you and those you work with (or would like to work with), as well as provide crucial professional success workshops to help you get the job you want after graduation.

Our History

Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity is a global organization that was first founded in 1902, and boasts six U.S. Presidents and eight U.S. Supreme Court Justices as alumni. The organization is welcoming to all as part of the Fraternity’s long standing commitment to advancing integrity, compassion and courage through service to the student, the school, the profession and the community.

A Fraternity of Firsts

Phi Alpha Delta was the first law fraternity to:

  • Open membership to all genders, races, creeds and national origins.
  • Host one of the largest Mock Trial Competitions for law students in the country.
  • Conduct a “Senior Transition Program” for pre-law students entering law school.
  • Establish a Pre-Law Program to assist undergraduate students interested in the law.
  • Hold P.A.D. Day at the Supreme Court, a day designated for P.A.D. attorneys to be admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
  • Conduct an Annual Food Drive to directly benefit food banks chosen by Chapters in their local communities.
