LL.M. STUDENT ASSOCIATION (LLMSA)

Background:

On our campus, the LL.M. Student Association (LLMSA) represents the interests of law students pursuing Master of Laws (Legum Magister). Its members are US and foreign attorneys as well as other international graduate students. LLMSA represents a diverse mix of students from a variety of legal systems and backgrounds.

Mission Statement:

The LLMSA of Santa Clara Law aims to promote the interests of LLM students as they pursue their academic goals and professional development. It also seeks to foster meaningful relationships with the faculty, administration, alumni, JD law students, other departments, and the surrounding community. It also hopes that the diversity of its membership will contribute significantly to the academic experience of all students at SCU Law.

Specifically, the LLMSA strives to:

  1. provide a forum for communication among the LL.M students, the school of law faculty and staff, and J.D. students.
  2. provide an informational forum for continuing, incoming and prospective LL.M. students.
  3. engage the Office of Career Management (OCM), LL.M. alumni, prospective employers and other interested professionals in advising LL.M. students regarding career development.
  4. host events, programs, workshops for the academic and professional development of LL.M. students.
