Hai-Ching is the Director of Legal at Cerebras Systems, an AI company specializing in high-performance AI compute solutions and dedicated to accelerating deep learning, model training, and inference. At Cerebras, she oversees commercial contracting, product, privacy, AI governance, and legal operations.

Previously, Hai-Ching was the Managing Counsel of Americas and Governments at Coursera, where she led a legal team for enterprise, government, and industry partnerships, and scaled the legal function from early startup through post-IPO.  Hai-Ching also built the company’s data privacy and anti-bribery compliance programs and played a key role in Coursera’s international expansion into the Middle East and Asia.

Prior to Coursera, Hai-Ching practiced as a cross-border attorney at K&L Gates in Beijing, advising Fortune 500 companies, private equity funds, and nonprofits on corporate transactions, foreign investment, M&A, and regulatory compliance. A Fulbright Research Scholar at Tsinghua University and law lecturer at Peking University School of Transnational Law, she remains committed to educating the next generation of lawyers and currently teaches an AI law course at Santa Clara University School of Law.

Hai-Ching holds a B.A. from Cornell University and a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law.
