Jeremy Weber has been a practicing attorney for 30 years, the first 23 of those spent on active duty with the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the Air Force in the rank of Colonel in 2020. Since January 2023, he has worked as a senior judicial attorney for the California Sixth District Court of Appeal.
In his military career, Jeremy served in various roles including as a prosecutor, a Staff Judge Advocate leading legal offices and advising senior commanders, the Air Force’s chief appellate counsel, and a trial and appellate judge. In his final assignment, he was the sole law professor at Air University, the Air Force’s accredited master’s degree awarding institution. There, he taught a variety of legal topics to military members, government civilians, and international officers. He also was the first lawyer to teach national defense strategy at Air War College, the Air Force’s senior professional military education school.
Since retiring, Jeremy first litigated constitutional cases in the Alabama Attorney General’s Office before relocating to California. He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers overseeing legal support to military and Veterans Administration projects before joining the Sixth District Court of Appeal in January 2023.
Jeremy has authored nine published law review articles on criminal, military, and constitutional law topics. Apart from various teaching roles in the Air Force, he has served as an adjunct instructor for the University of California-Davis School of Law since 2023, teaching trial advocacy. He also volunteers as a scholar-educator for the National Constitution Center, teaching various constitutional topics to elementary, middle school, high school, and college students across the country.
Jeremy earned his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. He has earned two master’s degrees from Air University, one in strategic studies and one in military operational art and science. His undergraduate degree in journalism is from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Jeremy is licensed to practice law in California.
