
Professor Sohi teaches first-year Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing (LARAW) and is currently the Coordinator for the Legal Writing program. Professor Sohi is also a faculty member and Assistant Director in the Office of Academic & Bar Success (OABS). In his Academic & Bar Success role, Professor Sohi focuses on working with first-year students as they adapt and transition to the law school learning environment, including advising on study and time-management strategies, exam preparation, and exam-writing.
Professor Sohi also advises upper-division and Directed Study students on a range of issues, including course scheduling, graduation requirements, and academic policies. As a part of the Academic & Bar Success faculty, Professor Sohi also assists with Bar preparation programming, including teaching Advanced Legal Writing: Bar Exam (ALW).
Prior to joining the Santa Clara Law faculty in 2018, Professor Sohi practiced civil litigation for 14 years, specializing in complex commercial, antitrust, securities, and public entity litigation, in both private and government practice. He also taught Legal Research, Writing and Moot Court as an adjunct professor at UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings).
In his free time, Professor Sohi enjoys spending time with his two children, including volunteering as a girls softball coach and board member in the San Ramon Valley Girls Athletic League. Professor Sohi is an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.
