Welcome: Maximilian Rudloff

Maximilian Fritz Rudloff is an exchange student from Germany studying at Santa Clara University School of Law in Fall 2026.

Maximilian Fritz Rudloff is an exchange student from Germany studying at Santa Clara University School of Law in Fall 2026. He is a 2nd year law student at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, with a strong interest in capital market law and corporate/M&A. While at Santa Clara, Maximilian is focusing on courses in international commercial arbitration and transaction law. He is passionate about incorporating multiple legal systems (e.g. when drafting contracts) and aims to pursue a global career in commercial law. Outside of his studies, Maximilian enjoys playing field hockey, debating and classical literature. 

His areas of legal interest include philosophy of law, commercial law, dispute resolution.

In his free time, he enjoys field hockey, writing poems and essays, swimming, sailing, photography, classical music and literature, politics.

While in California, he is hoping to meet some nice students, learn about US law and enjoy the Californian way of life, including the weather.
