“Because international law is a vast, diverse, and complex field of law, Santa Clara Law’s summer study abroad program is valuable to any student who is interested in a career in international law or simply wants to improve his or her understanding of how the law is organized and enforced in the international context. Not to mention, it helps treat wanderlust!”
The Center for Global Law and Policy (CGLP) at Santa Clara University is dedicated to providing students and faculty with a platform to explore and contribute to the dynamic field of international law. As a hub for teaching, scholarship, and global legal experiences, CGLP offers an expansive curriculum that includes a diverse range of international law courses, as well as access to the university’s renowned summer abroad programs—one of the largest and oldest in the nation. These programs provide students with hands-on exposure to global legal practices and systems, further enhancing their legal education.
In addition to our academic offerings, CGLP fosters a vibrant community through visiting scholars, lectures, and various events. The center collaborates with student organizations and journals to host activities that immerse students in global legal issues. CGLP also offers graduation certificates in both public international law and international business law, allowing students to focus their studies and showcase their expertise to future employers. Through these opportunities, CGLP equips students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to thrive in the international legal landscape.
