Announcing the 2025 Karl Popper Scholarship Competition
The Karl Popper Legal Reasoning Scholarship challenges law students worldwide to navigate the future of law in an age of artificial intelligence, climate change, and evolving concepts of personhood and humanism as rule of law governance recedes globally in the face of authoritarian resurgence. Through the case of Atoll Society v. Hakim Family (2047), you will explore how societies determine what is true, benefit from multi-generational insights while protecting young and future generations, and balance age-old questions about harmony, individualism, and progress.
Applications are being accepted now. The competition is open to law students across the country, with a $25,000 prize pool.
Review the competition website for full details, key dates and how to apply.
Submission Deadline: October 10, 2025
