Nikki Pope, Cooley LLP attorney and NCIP advisory board member, and her co-author Courtney Lance, internal auditor and non-profit director, will accept the Media Award at NCIP’s Justice for All awards dinner on March 12, 2015. Their book, Pruno, Ramen, and a Side of Hope, published in February 2015, is a collection of stories from wrongfully convicted people—including NCIP clients Obie Anthony and Maurice Caldwell— who eventually proved their innocence. These poignant, funny, and heartbreaking stories reveal what gave exonerees hope and helped them survive after their wrongful convictions.

Pope, Lance, and several exonerees featured in Pruno will be autographing copies of the book that evening.
